MAY 9 • 11:00a–12:00p ET
Resistance doesn't only arise through protest. It also emerges through refusal—refusing to be silent, refusing to forget, refusing to accept someone else’s story about who you are. In this session, we’ll hear from writers whose language is itself an act of defiance, and then we'll write our own refusals, witnessing, and reclamations. Our time together includes:
Curated anchor reading and framing for the session
Short warm-up writing prompt
Deep writing through a selection of prompts
Optional sharing
Four sessions. Four themes. One invitation: bring what you carry and put it on the page.
Writing Into It is a workshop series for anyone who wants to write—whether you’ve been doing it for years or you’re just starting to find your way in. Each session is built around a single theme: grief, joy, resistance, and sense of place. You’ll hear a short reading, receive guided prompts, and spend most of your time doing the thing itself—writing.
Sessions are standalone, so you can attend one or all four; each themed session is offered at two date/time options for flexibility. Each workshop runs 60 minutes via Zoom.
Each session in this series is offered with sliding scale pricing (read more about the concept of sliding scale pricing).
This session will be held on MAY 9 from 11:00a–12:00p ET.
If you'd like to attend all four themed sessions, you can use the code ALL4 to receive a 15% discount. This code is offered freely in good faith.
