tempo

about this workshop

move through blocks • stay accountable • get the writing done

It can feel all but impossible to find the time, gather the motivation, and give priority to making real progress on a writing project. This is a wildly common challenge that is not on you as an individual to solve! Because writing is such a solitary endeavor, it’s easy to deprioritize the work and to feel demoralized when you don’t make progress. But if we’re willing to declare our creative desires, I believe we can reform the writing process in community. Being around other writers when you’re in the midst of your own writing creates a special force. It elicits generative energy, offers tender fellowship, and enables purposeful connection to the art and each other.

That’s why I developed tempo, a powerful container that provides guidance for shaping your project’s scope, structure, and flow; organized and meaningful feedback; and supportive accountability to make material writing progress or finish a complete piece of work. If you’re ready to get the writing done, I hope you’ll join me.
